This would be good to put somewhere on an intro page. I think the Welcome topic is a good place to add this. I also want to add some info on that page about checking your profile settings and making use your email digest are set how you want. Maybe even a bit of a walkthoguht about the site, expectations about each category, and any other general guidance.

As of now only moderators can add tags. But I think to begin with it might be useful to open this up to allow anyone to create tags. This might help getting the tags needed at the beginning. We can always close it down later and clean up tags as they are created. Thoughts?
Absolutely OK to invite anyone you feel won’t be scared away by a ‘soft opening’. At this point I have gone through most of the settings and I think it would be useful in a soft opening sort of way to invite people personally to use it. For at least a little longer we should hold off on distributing this widely.
