The Glynwood Center for Regional Food and Farming is hiring two livestock apprentices for the 2026 season - details are below. Please share with any beginning farmers in your network!
Glynwood’s Livestock Apprenticeship
Glynwood’s Livestock Apprenticeship program is for young farmers who are ready to pursue a career raising livestock. Through a combination of hands-on experience and training, apprentices gain a solid foundation in the competencies and technical skills necessary to work on a small-scale diversified livestock operation. The 9-month Livestock Apprenticeship enhances apprentices’ understanding of the principles and practices of regenerative, pasture-based production of beef, pork, lamb and poultry products. This position is compensated at $16/hr and includes housing. All apprentices are participants in Glynwood’s Hudson Valley Apprenticeship program.
