The Ecdysis Foundation is coming to CT and surrounding states this summer (2026). They are looking for more farms to participate in the program. In brief this program is doing a survey of farms around the country. The go farm to farm and collect/record samples of the biology/ecology on the farm including deep dive into soil, water, insects, birds, and forage amongst other things. They will make all this data the collect available to you as a participating farm for free.
Particularly the yare looking for:
- Cropland being converted into perennial pasture
- Silvopasture that is being grazed by livestock
- No-Till organic vegetable production
- Friendly conventional farmers - yes we need these for our controls
