I started to put this ‘shout out’ in the events category, although its not an event. I could have done that two weeks ago and announced the SRM annual meeting in Monterey, CA. ‘Rangeland’ may seem completely foreign to the Northeast, and by definition, rangeland doesn’t really exist here. However, the conservation concepts that are within the rangeland discipline are the same concepts that exist in the Northeast. The ‘language’ is different. I encourage all of you to check out SRM and rangelands as there are ideas you can glean from SRM using the same concepts used here but in different applications that serve to stimulate innovation.
