Curiosity on my part, and the answers/opinions will be variable, but how far does your livestock have to walk to access water and what do you take into consideration for this? Where I am, an accepted distance is 600-800 feet. In the western US, a quarter mile is not necessarily considered far as cattle can/will walk up to two miles to get water.
